Dan Gentges is a shareholder in the Milwaukee office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C., where he is a member of the firm’s Commercial Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Construction Services and Health Care Law teams. He represents clients in a variety of commercial finance transactions.

Mr. Gentges’ finance experience includes advising lenders and borrowers in inventory financing, construction financing, multi-state real estate loans, leveraged leasing transactions (real estate and equipment) and asset-based lending. His finance experience extends to repurchase transaction agreements and related documentation involving U.S. government guaranteed loan program assets.

Representative Work

  • Represented Milwaukee-based investment management firms with negotiating and structuring multiple repurchase transaction arrangements with broker-dealer counterparties, which involved government guaranteed loan program assets (including SBA Section 7(a) loan assets, SBA Section 504 first mortgage loan assets, and USDA business and industry loan assets).
  • Represented national bank with negotiating and documenting construction equipment dealer financing arrangements.
  • Represented not-for-profit lender in connection with refinancing of New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) facility.
  • Represented not-for-profit senior housing developer/owner with refinancing of approximately $4.5 million of Wisconsin Health and Educational Facilities Authority tax-exempt bonds.
  • Represented national consumer products packaging manufacturer with negotiating and documenting a subordinated credit facility with RAW material supplier, in connection with Midwest Disaster Area bond financing for supplier's manufacturing facility.
  • Served as bank and borrower counsel in connection with multiple Midwest Disaster Area bond financings.
  • Assisted acquisition target and acquiring entity with respect to senior secured loan financing for an approximately $750 million corporate acquisition.
  • Represented numerous manufacturing companies and their affiliates with sale and leaseback financing arrangements.
