, Daniel J. Miske
and Douglas A. Pessefall have been elected shareholders in their Milwaukee office.
Gonzalez is a member of the Litigation Practice Group where he concentrates his practice in transportation law, product liability, toxic torts and general negligence matters. He defends clients in all phases of litigation from the pre-suit investigation and settlement of catastrophic injury claims through trial. He has successfully obtained defense verdicts for insurers and manufacturers in courts throughout Wisconsin. He received his J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School, magna cum laude, where he was a member and editor of the Wisconsin Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute’s Product Liability Committee, and the American Bar Association.
Miske is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group where he concentrates his practice in the areas of condominium law, business law, business litigation and collections. Within these areas of practice he handles numerous trials, foreclosures and appeals for businesses, condominium associations, and individuals in a variety of matters including contract disputes, collections, construction law, liens, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Claims. He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, and his B.S. from Marquette University. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association’s Professionalism and Bench Bar Committees, and the Commercial Law League. Mr. Miske is President of the Community Associations Institute’s Wisconsin Chapter and a member of its Board of Directors. He is also the only Wisconsin attorney who has been admitted to the College of Community Association Lawyers.
Pessefall is a member of the Corporate Practice Group where he heads the Tax Exempt Organizations Team. His practice also includes federal, state and local taxation, contested tax matters, and general corporate law. He has more than 20 years professional, legal and management experience working with businesses, and nonprofit and tax exempt organizations, having led downtown and economic development efforts prior to joining the legal profession. He received his J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where he was Lead Articles Editor of The John Marshall Law Review, Editor of the John Marshall Ethics Case Notes & Comments, and a Francis D. Morrissey Scholar. He received in B.A. from the University of Dayton. Pessefall is a member of the American Bar Association, Chairperson-Elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin Taxation Section Board of Directors, and former Chair of the Taxation Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association. He is a member of Wisconsin Nonprofits Association, the Milwaukee Tax Club, the Wisconsin State and Local Tax Club, Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and the Wisconsin Association of Assessing Officers. Pessefall has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business Administration, teaching “Multistate Income Taxation.”
