WHD's Sarah Thomas Pagels will present "The Art of Story-Telling: Writing, Arguing, and Winning Your Motions," a Defense Research Institute (DRI) webcast on Tuesday, August 21, 2012.

Presentation Details
With fewer and fewer cases culminating in trials, motion practice has become one of the most important aspects of litigation. The first part of a four-part series, this webcast will help you better understand how to make the most of every one of your motions, including motions to dismiss, motions to compel, and motions for summary judgment. Topics will include drafting a motion that gets to the point and keeps a judge’s attention; educating and persuading a judge through oral argument during a motion; and avoiding the common pitfalls that most attorneys make in writing and arguing a position during a motion. This program will prepare you to win your motion and your case.
